I was lucky to be chosen by Brianna of Life and Yarn to test her Winnie Vest pattern!
Let me tell y’all, I fell in love with this vest. It is really beginner-friendly. She provides a stitch chart and size chart, so that you can make multiple sizes, and reference the stitch chart for visual help.
My experience with crocheting clothing is small. I have made a sweater that turned out much to big for the wearer, and a sleeveless vest for myself that turned out well.
I made 2 of these vests, and plan to make more of them in the future. It works up fairly quickly.
The hood is large enough to fit over your head, but not too bulky when you aren’t wearing it. The armholes are spacious and the pockets are not too large.
You will need a K-6.50mm crochet hook and a worsted weight yarn. I used almost 2 Caron Cakes for the first vest, and almost 2 skeins of Loops and Threads Chameleon.

This is well worth your money, because after you make every color for yourself, you will do it for friends and family too! 😉
